Kaban Hotel and Casino to open on Boracay in September
The first casino hotel on Boracay will offer table games, slots and electronic gaming stations, alongside 88 rooms.
Philippines.- Kaban Hotel and Casino will begin a soft opening on September 16 on the Philippine island of Boracay. The opening of the first casino-hotel on the island to receive a licence from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (Pagcor) will be followed by a full launch in October, local media reports say.
Developed by Philippines-based Golden TW Realty and Development Corp, the six-storey venue forms part of a 23-hectare project at Station 0, at the northern end of the resort island. The development combines hospitality and entertainment. The gaming floor covers 2,000 square metres and will feature table games, slot machines and igaming stations. The hotel has 88 rooms, while the wider venue will have seven food and beverage outlets, a spa, outdoor pool, VIP lounge, children’s play area, lobby café and rooftop bar.
“Kaban is more than a destination. We promise to bring world-class entertainment and heartfelt Filipino hospitality together, creating a place where culture, leisure, and celebration come together,” said Kevin Wong, president and chief executive of Kaban Hotel and Casino.
The company is also developing Boracay Central, a lifestyle shopping centre that is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of the year.
