Jin Bei Casino and Hotel in Sihanoukville to reopen

The Jin Bei Casino and Hotel in Sihanoukville as well as Jin Bei’s three hotel branches have been given permission to reopen.

Cambodia.- The Jin Bei Casino and Hotel in Sihanoukville has been given the green light to reopen after shutting last month due to an increase in Covid-19 infections in the district.

All three branches of the Jin Bei Hotel have algo gained permission to reopen.

A ban on travel to Sihanoukville province prevented people from entering or leaving the holiday district and casino hub. Some casino employees were trapped inside of their workplaces with police surrounding the area.

Covid-19 cases in Cambodia continue to rise. Prime Minister Hun Sen issued a ban on all public gatherings on Monday.

Meanwhile, NagaWorld remains closed after 11 of its staff members tested positive for Covid-19 last month. A reopening date has yet to be confirmed.

It also emerged this week that Cambodia is hoping to initiate a travel bubble with China, Japan and South Korea in order to boost international tourism and help initiate a recovery for the country’s gaming industry.
