Lotte Tour Development Co Ltd has announced it will hire 200 more workers for its hotels and casinos as South Korea prepares to open quarantine-free entry for fully vaccinated visitors.

South Korea.- Lotte Tour Development Co Ltd, the operator of Jeju Dream Tower casino resort, is preparing to hire 200 more employees as South Korea prepares to reopen to foreign visitors. The company said it will hire table game dealers as well as casino marketing, international marketing, finance and service staff.

Kim Jin-hee, executive director of Lotte Tourism Development, said: “Due to the extended business hours and the influx of foreign tourists, we started recruiting to prepare for the reopening of the economy.”

Last year, the Jeju Dream Tower casino resort recorded gaming revenue of KRW14.4bn (US$12m) for the fourth quarter of 2021. The company reported full-year 2021 gaming revenue of KRW30.9bn and casino net sales of KRW21.1bn.

Casinos and resorts are preparing for a return of tourists after the government announced that from April 1, the current mandatory seven-day quarantine on arrival will be lifted for those who have been fully vaccinated with three doses against Covid-19.
