Work resumed on November 25 and the company has outlined its plan to finish on schedule.

Northern Mariana Islands.- Imperial Pacific International (IPI) has revealed its intended schedule for the construction of its resort in Garapan.

The operator recently resumed work on the casino after construction was halted on October 27 due to building code violations. The Commonwealth Casino Commission (CCC) gave permission work to continue on levels 3 to 13 on November 24.

According to the Saipan Tribune, IPI resident project director Jing Zhou told the CCC that it was currently employing 201 foreign workers on the project, from Taiwan, Mongolia, Turkey and Italy.

If it is able to increase its workforce to 2,000 workers, it plans to complete Phase 2 by December 31, 2021.

Phase 3, which includes two VIP gaming areas and level 14 of the tower, could be completed for April of 2022, the company said. Phase 4 – the property’s beach club – should be complete by December 31, 2022.

The timescale depends on the company’s ability to take on up to 2,000 workers.
