Hong Kong lifts measures for residents returning from Macau
Hong Kong residents coming back from Macau and Guangdong will not need to undergo quarantine.
Hong Kong.- All residents currently in Macau or Guangdong, China, will be allowed back to Hong Kong without having to undergo a 14-day quarantine.
There will be a daily quota to control the number of arrivals.
The scheme will only apply to Hong Kong residents that have been in Macau or Guangdong province for 14 days prior. They will be also asked to present a negative Covid-19 test result issued within 72 hours prior to arrival.
Applications for the “Easy Pass” scheme open on November 18. The daily quota will be up to 2,000 via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge checkpoints, and 3,000 Hong Kong from Shenzhen in Guangdong.
Hong Kong residents that wish to travel out of Hong Kong to Macau, are still subject to Macau’s 14-day quarantine on arrival.
