Grand Korea Leisure hires 58 staff
The operator has hired 40 casino dealers and marketing staff focused on Japan, China and Thailand.
South Korea.- Grand Korea Leisure (GKL), the South Korean foreigner-only casino operator, has recruited 58 new employees for casino operations and marketing efforts in key Asian markets. The new hires include 40 casino dealers, alongside marketing personnel responsible for Japan, China and Thailand.
The company had initially opened 66 positions and received 1,485 applications, representing an average competition rate of 22.5 applicants per position. The recruitment also covered roles in legal affairs, administration, information technology, information security and facilities.
The successful candidates will undergo nine weeks of training from August 24 to October 23 before joining their respective departments. The programme will include casino dealing, customer service and occupational safety training.
GKL operates three foreigner-only casinos under the Seven Luck brand: two in the capital, Seoul (including one in Gangnam) and the other in the southeastern port city of Busan. It operates as a subsidiary of the Korea Tourism Organization, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Recently, the company announced a plan to generate casino revenue of KRW503.8bn (US$333.8m) by 2030.
