Genting Singapore announces CEO Tan Hee Teck’s retirement
Tan is leaving the group after four decades of service.
Singapore.- Genting Singapore has announced that its CEO Tan Hee Teck, who also serves as CEO of Resorts World Sentosa, will step down from all executive roles by May 31, 2025. Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, the group’s executive chairman, will step in as acting CEO while Lee Shi Ruh has been named RWS CEO.
Tan took the reins as CEO of Resorts World Sentosa in 2007, overseeing its bid and opening in 2010. He was appointed CEO of Genting Singapore in May 2022.
A statement from the group read: “The board respects Mr Tan’s decision and would like to express (its) appreciation to Mr Tan for his invaluable contributions and guidance to the board and the company during his tenure.”
Lee has been part of Genting Group since 2010 and currently serves as the president of Resorts World Sentosa and chief financial officer of Genting Singapore. She will continue to act as the group’s CFO while overseeing RWS’s operations and strategic development. To facilitate a smooth transition, Tan will remain involved with the company until the end of November 2025.
