Gambling in South Korea: Lotte Tour announces Jeju Dream Tower casino revenue in 2024

The venue reported casino sales of KRW294.65bn (US$200.7m) in 2024.

South Korea.- Lotte Tour Development, the operator of Jeju Dream Tower casino, has reported that casino revenues in 2024 rose 93.3 per cent year-on-year to KRW294.65bn (US$200.7m).

Casino drop, the amount paid by customers to buy chips for table games, was nearly KRW1.52tn, up 19.2 per cent year-on-year. Hotel revenue stood at KRW84.52bn (US$57.4m), down 7.8 per cent year-on-year.

December casino revenue declined 9.5 per cent month-on-month from KRW26.08bn (US$18.6m) to KRW23.6bn (US$16m). The figure was up 64.6 per cent year-on-year. Table-game sales amounted to KRW22.15bn (US$15.1m), down 10.9 per cent sequentially but up 66.3 per cent year-on-year. Machine-game sales rose 18.5 per cent month-on-month and 41.9 per cent year-on-year to KRW1.45bn (US$984,000).

The casino drop was KRW132.78bn (US$90.1m), down 1.8 per cent sequentially, but up 5.2 per cent year-on-year. Some 36,490 people visited the casino, down 1.9 per cent from the previous month but up 28.8 per cent year-on-year. The hold rate for the casino’s table games was 16.7 per cent, versus 18.4 per cent in November and 10.6 per cent compared to December 2023.
