Galaxy Entertainment Group held community volleyball initiative

The “V Together” initiative aimed to promote social inclusion and community engagement.

Macau.- Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) ran an initiative called GEG Sports for Good Community Program ‘V Together’ Volleyball Outreach Series amid the Women’s Volleyball Nations League finals organised by the Macau SAR Government’s Sports Bureau, the Volleyball Association of Macao, China, and GEG. The aim is to extend the impact of the tournament by engaging local residents, youth groups and social service organisations.

Community-focused activities included volleyball exchange sessions, match invitations, visits to the Volleyball Experience interactive zone at Galaxy Macau and charity sales booths operated by local organisations. Nearly 200 members from community and social service groups attended tournament matches as part of the programme, including representatives from Fuhong Society of Macau, Macau Special Olympics (MSO), Macau Deaf Association, Caritas Macau, the Association of Parents of the People with Intellectual Disabilities of Macau, the GEG Youth Achievement Program and the Young Men’s Christian Association of Macau.

Ahead of the competition, GEG collaborated with fellow organisers to host an exchange session featuring members of the Chinese Women’s National Volleyball Team, including Dong Yuhan, Yang Shuming, Zhang Zixuan and Zhou Yetong. The athletes met with local youth training teams and members of the GEG Staff Social Club’s volleyball team, sharing their experiences and participating in friendly on-court activities. Additional initiatives included an art event at Nam Van Lake.
