Galaxy Entertainment appoints new company secretary
Chong takes over from Jenifer Sin Li Mei Wah.
Macau.- Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has named Chong Wai Sang as company secretary and authorised representative. Chong is a qualified lawyer in Hong Kong and has experience in advising corporate and commercial legal matters and compliance issues for Hong Kong-listed companies.
He takes over from Jenifer Sin Li Mei Wah, who has retired. She had been in the role since 2022. She was previously company secretary for Galaxy Entertainment from November 2010 to December 2020. The board expressed its gratitude to Sin for her service.
GEG net revenue climbs in H1
Earlier this week, Galaxy Entertainment Group released its financial results for the first half of the year. Net revenue was HK$23.2bn (US$2.96bn), up 8.3 per cent in year-on-year terms. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) for H1 was HK$6.9bn (US$881m), up 14 per cent compared to the same period of 2024.
First-half net gaming revenue was up 10.7 per cent year-on-year, to nearly HK$18.58bn, while non-gaming revenue for the first six months was almost HK$3.17bn, a gain of 2.5 per cent from the prior-year period.
