DFNN reports PHP265.7m first-half loss as gaming revenue falls 66.9%
The company said its results were affected by changes involving the connection of its online gaming platforms with e-wallet payment services.
The Philippines.- The gaming and technology company DFNN Inc has released its financial results for the first half of 2026, reporting weaker revenue and a wider net loss. Gross revenue for the six months ended June 30 fell to PHP109.5m (US$1.77m) from PHP167.8m (US$2.71m) in the same period last year. The company’s gross expenses also declined to PHP376.1m (US$6.08m) from PHP413.2m (US$6.68m) a year earlier.
DFNN recorded a PHP265.7m (US$4.29m) net loss after tax, compared with PHP243.9m (US$3.94m) in the first half of 2025. The loss attributable to parent equity holders increased to PHP263.3m (US$4.26m) from PHP238.7m (US$3.86m).
Gaming commission income fell to PHP21.6m (US$350,000) from PHP65.4m. DFNN attributed the decline to Philippines’ disconnecting of online gaming platforms with e-wallet payment services. The company also reported PHP64.3m (US$1.04m) in software-related service fees during the first half, while revenue from its LottoMatik business stood at PHP18.6m (US$300,000).
DFNN’s loss before tax for the first half stood at PHP266.5m (US$4.31m), compared with PHP245.3m (US$3.97m) a year earlier. Its basic loss per share increased to PHP0.66 from PHP0.60.
During the period, DFNN expanded its lottery technology operations and introduced a digital rewards platform in June. The company is also pursuing additional technology activities as it works to diversify its revenue base beyond its gaming operations.
