Although the government has announced some conditions will be eased from April 27, Crown Perth will remain closed at least until May 1.
Australia.- The Australian Government has announced a new set of interim restrictions for Perth from Tuesday April 27 until Saturday May 1.
Following the new rules, Crown Perth has announced the casino, theatre and food & beverage, banqueting and conference facilities will remain closed until May 1. Hotel accommodation will remain open at a reduced capacity.
Crown previously announced a snap five-day lockdown until April 27.
People can only leave their home if they cannot work from home, for essential supplies like groceries or medical supplies, or takeaway, for exercise and for emergencies.
The wearing of a mask is mandatory at all times, except if people are in their home or doing exercise.
Crown Perth is the only casino in Western Australia. It’s currently facing an inquiry by a Royal Commission to determine if it is suitable to continue holding a casino gaming licence.
The inquiry was launched after former Supreme Court judge Patricia Bergin found Crown unsuitable to hold its licence for its new Sydney casino.
