Cairns’ Reef casino reopens earlier than planned
The gaming floor and food and beverage outlets at the Cairns casino have reopened and the hotel will reopen soon.
Australia.- Reef Hotel and Casino in Cairns has opened its doors after over two months of closure for Covid-19 measures.
The company had said earlier it expected the Queensland government to permit the casino to reopen on July 11.
The reopening covers the gaming floor, the casino bars and Flinders Bar & Grill.
The casino and its food and beverage outlets will open from 10am to 2am from Sunday to Thursday, and until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays. Flinders Bar & Grill will open at 11am every day.
According to an update posted on its website, the company expects remaining food and beverage outlets and the hotel to be operational again soon.
Tamarind restaurant will reopen on Friday July 10 and it already fully booked for its first two days of opening. BAR36 will open on the same day and will open on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Pullman Reef Hotel Casino is scheduled to reopen on July 11, and Merchant Café on July 12.
Rhe state of Queensland began compulsory closures of businesses for Covid-19 on March 23.
