Bloomberry warns of online scams involving its CEO
The company has reported that fake videos and audio clips are circulating on social media.
The Philippines.- Bloomberry Resorts has issued a warning about online scams that are using manipulated videos and audio recordings to impersonate its chairman and CEO Enrique K. Razon Junior and other senior executives. The company said content is designed to appear convincing and may include offers that seem legitimate.
The company has urged the public to exercise caution when encountering online content referencing Bloomberry Resorts Corporation or the Razon Group and recommended avoiding the disclosure of personal or financial details to unfamiliar entities. It asked people to report any suspicious content or impersonation attempts to the respective social media platforms.
The statement reads: “The fraudulent materials, which have appeared on social media, falsely portray Mr. Razon promoting investment opportunities. These claims are entirely untrue. Neither Mr. Razon nor Bloomberry Resorts Corporation has endorsed any such investments.”
Bloomberry GGR increases year-over-year in 2024
Bloomberry Resorts reported gross gaming revenue (GGR) of PHP61.7bn (US$1.08bn) for 2024. That’s an increase of 6 per cent in year-on-year terms. The growth was mainly due to the opening of Solaire Resort North (SN) for 221 days of the year.
The casino operator reported net income of PHP2.6bn (US$45.9m), down 72.63 per cent year-on-year. Consolidated net revenue was PHP53.1bn (US$930.6m), up 10 per cent, while non-gaming revenue was PHP10.7bn (US$187.3m), up 23 per cent year-on-year.
