Australia.- As Australia continues to struggle with Covid-19 outbreaks, some states go into new lockdowns while others reopen.

The Star Entertainment Group’s Queensland venue has reopened with a capacity of one person per four square metres indoors and one person per 2 metres outside. Visitors must wear masks and must be seated while eating or drinking.

As for Star Sydney, it will remain closed until August 28 after the New South Wales government announced an extension of Covid-19 countermeasures.

Meanwhile, Reef Casino Trust‘s property in Cairns has closed its doors until next Wednesday due to countermeasures there.

In Melbourne, Crown Resorts has ceased operations until August 12 under a 7-day lockdown imposed by the Victorian government.

The casino operator said gaming activities, food and beverage, retail, banqueting and conference facilities other than for the provision of takeaway and delivery have ceased. Hotel accommodation is still being provided for approved purposes.
