Coronavirus: Aristocrat donates face masks to Macau
Masks to be distributed to frontline staff and schools in need as Macau continues to take steps to prevent deadly disease from spreading.
Macau.- Slot machine manufacturer Aristocrat Macau has donated a tranche of face masks as part of efforts to halt the Coronavirus outbreak in the city.
The masks will be sent directly to the Health Bureau, the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Higher Education Bureau for distribution to frontline staff and schools in need.
“It’s sad to see the community and industry impacted by the events surrounding COVID-19. At Aristocrat, we take our role as a corporate citizen in Macau seriously and are proud that we can support our community when they need it most.
“We look forward to seeing these masks being distributed amongst the schools, charities and various local organisations who are in need,” Lloyd Robson, Sales & Business Development Director APAC, said.
Aristocrat is the latest gaming company to contribute to relief efforts. Others to have offered assistance include Melco Resorts, which operates four casinos in the territory, which donated HK$20 million (€2.3 million) to Hubei Province.
In addition, Galaxy Entertainment Group has also donated MOP20 million to the region while Sands China has contributed MOP25 million (€2.8 million) to relief efforts.
