AGEM Index rises 9.8% in July

The AGEM Index saw its strongest monthly increase of 2026 as Konami’s gains outweighed declines among other manufacturers.

Asia.- The Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) Index rose 167.62 points month-on-month to 1,874.77 in July 2026, representing a 9.8 per cent increase compared with June. Despite the strong monthly performance, the index remained 0.8 per cent, or 15.00 points, below its level in July 2025.

Five of the nine companies included in the index saw share price gains during the month, resulting in six positive contributions and three negative. The biggest positive contributor was Konami Corp., whose 16.8 per cent increase in share price added 108.32 points to the index. Aristocrat Leisure Limited‘s stock rose 4.6 per cent, contributing 49.60 points.

The largest negative contribution came from Inspired Entertainment, whose share price fell 16.6 per cent, reducing the AGEM Index by 0.91 points.

US equity markets saw mixed performances in July. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.3 per cent, while the NASDAQ declined 3.2 per cent and the S&P 500 slipped 0.1 per cent compared with the previous month.
