Arkansas Scholarship Lottery generates $578m in full-year sales
The lottery raised $111.3m for in-state scholarships.
US.- The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) generated $578m in sales for the fiscal year. It says it raised $111.3m for in-state scholarships, its third-highest total behind $129.4m for 2024 and $113m for 2023. Scholarships supported include the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship, the Arkansas Workforce Challenge Scholarship, and the ACCESS to Acceleration programme.
The lottery paid out $400.2m prizes for instant tickets and draw-based games and returned $32.7m through retailer commissions. Eight winners claimed prizes of $1m and above.
ASL executive director Sharon Strong said: “We’re proud to complete another successful year of raising funds for student scholarships. Through the hard work of our lottery team and the support of our players, we’ve been able to contribute to the higher education goals of hundreds of thousands of Arkansans since 2009. As we look toward the next fiscal year, ASL is committed to making a positive impact on the state and its citizens.”
Recently, the Virginia Lottery reported $901m in profits for the 2025 fiscal year, its second-highest total in its 37-year history. Sales reached a record of $5.7bn, and $4.5bn was returned to players as prizes.
