Arizona tribal casinos contribute $47.6m to state funds in Q1
Tribal gaming contributions to the Arizona Benefits Fund increased 2.9 per cent year over year.
U.S.- The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) has reported that tribal gaming in Arizona generated $47.6m in contributions to state funds during the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2027. That’s a rise of 2.9 per cent from the same period a year earlier.
The Arizona Benefits Fund receives 88 per cent of tribal gaming contributions. During the quarter, US$ 23.7m went to education while trauma and emergency services were allocated $11.9m. The ADG received $4.3m for operating costs, while the Arizona Wildlife Conservation Fund and Tourism Fund each received $3.4m. A further $951,828 was allocated to problem gambling education, treatment and prevention.
The remaining 12 per cent of tribal gaming contributions is distributed by tribes to cities, towns and counties of their choice. These funds support community services and public safety programs for local governments. The state currently has 26 Class III casinos, which are regulated by the ADG in partnership with Arizona tribes.
