Arizona sports betting handle rises in January and February
The handle increased by 2 per cent in January and by 8.7 per cent in February.
US.- The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) has released sports betting figures for January and February.
In January, bettors wagered $881.1m, up 2 per cent year-over-year. The state collected approximately $5.7m in privilege fees during the month. In February, bettors wagered $760.4m, up 8.7 per cent, with fees totalling $3.9m.
Currently, there are 14 licensed event wagering operators and 15 licensed fantasy sports operators. Since the launch of legal sports betting in Arizona in 2021, people have wagered $33.1bn, generating $175.1m in privilege fees for the state. For fiscal year 2026 year-to-date, regulated event wagering and fantasy sports have generated $42m in privilege fees.
The ADG announced $33.4m in tribal gaming contributions to the Arizona Benefits Fund for the third quarte. That represents an 8.3 per cent increase when compared to the same quarter of 2025.
The ADG recently announced the launch of a responsible gaming training initiative offering free, self-paced training. It says participants will learn the fundamentals of risks associated with gambling and how problem gambling differs from positive play.
