Arizona sports betting handle declines in April
Bettors wagered $737.2m, a decrease of 1.2 per cent year-over-year.
US.- The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) has released sports betting figures for April. Bettors in the state wagered $737.2m, down 1.2 per cent year-over-year and down from $836.9m in March. The state collected $6m in event wagering privilege fees.
For fiscal year 2026 year-to-date, regulated event wagering and fantasy sports have generated $53.8m in privilege fees: $52.6m from event wagering and $1.2m from fantasy sports. Since the sports betting launch in the state in 2021, people have wagered $34.6bn, generating $185.8m in event wagering privilege fees.
The ADG has announced that it will begin accepting new applications for event wagering licences. The application period will run from June 26 until July 10, 2026, at 5pm Arizona time, with all submissions required to be completed within that window.
