Alabama legislature delays DFS bill

The Alabama House Bill 354 could become the official regulation of the highly popular gaming industry based on real life American and international sports. As local legislators are discussing the possible legalisation of the game, major operators of national platforms Fan Duel and DraftKings decided to wait for a comprehensive law to activate their offerings in the state.
However, HB 354 is under further consideration by the Senate in this year’s legislative session. The Chamber was expected to discuss the bill last Friday, although the evaluation was delayed. The last vote on the bill was on Wednesday 17, but legislators have not come to a complete definition of the issue.
Daily fantasy sports platforms have ended their local services after the former Attorney General Luther Strange publicly stated that the sector was illegal under the Alabama legislation. DFS leading companies would be able to come back once the Senate finally approves the bill.
