Alabama-Coushatta Tribe to open temporary casino
The temporary venue is located on tribal reservation land in Leggett, East Texas.
US.- The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe will open a temporary casino on its tribal reservation land in Leggett, East Texas, this summer. The tribe will also hold a groundbreaking ceremony in June for the permanent Naskila Casino Resort, which will be located across from the temporary casino’s location.
The temporary casino will be open 24 hours a day, featuring 300 electronic bingo machines. It will also have a 24-hour deli, a fountain drink station, a player’s club and approximately 300 parking spaces.
Chairman Ricky Sylestine said: “This temporary facility will provide a positive economic impact for Polk County, surrounding communities and for the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe. The temporary casino will create 110 new jobs, strengthen local partnership, and establish a foundation for long-term tourism growth.”
The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe opened the existing Naskila Casino in Livingston in 2016.
