Angela Tshikhovhokhovho and Olafadeke Akeju recognised under the “Women Shaping African Gaming” category at the Africa Gaming Expo awards ceremony in Nigeria.

Nigeria.- Two industry leaders, Angela Tshikhovhokhovho and Olafadeke Akeju, were recognised under the “Women Shaping African Gaming” category at the Africa Gaming Expo (AGE) 2026 awards ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria.

The recognition formed part of the AGE 2026 awards programme, which organisers said honours individuals and organisations “making outstanding contributions to the growth and development of Africa’s gaming industry”. The category highlights women contributing to leadership and development across Africa’s gaming ecosystem.

South African executive Tshikhovhokhovho currently serves as Senior Vice President of Business Development for Africa at Sharp Vision, where she works on strategic partnerships and technology-enabled regulatory solutions for gaming and financial services markets across Africa.

She was also listed as a speaker at the conference, contributing to discussions on leadership and innovation in the gaming sector. Her work focuses on collaboration between regulators, operators and technology providers across African markets.

Nigerian gaming lawyer Akeju is a specialist in gaming regulation and Managing Partner at WYS Solicitors. She has also worked with SteelRose Legal, advising operators and regulators on licensing, compliance and regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.

With nearly two decades of experience in gaming and entertainment law, she has worked on policy development, governance and compliance issues linked to the growth of regulated gaming markets in Africa.
