Organiser Anandh Perumal said the tournament was a great success. “This event has been running for the past 14 years and grown, as is evident from the fact that teams from across South Africa have shown a keen interest in taking part,” he said, according the Herald.
Champions claim the crown
After seven gruelling rounds of high-stakes Thunee competition, the winning teams took home their prizes. The duo Jaya Naidoo and Justin Chetty emerged as overall winners, sharing R20,000 ($1,127).
Coming in second, Nicky Soobramoney and Trevind Ganase shared R7,000 ($394), while Kevin Moodley and Anthony Perumal from Richards Bay took third place, splitting R3,000 ($170).
