WIGLA calls on women in Africa’s gaming and lotteries industry to speak at CEOs Forum 2026
Women in Gaming & Lotteries Africa (WIGLA) has opened a continent-wide call for women to speak at its Women in Power Panel Discussions during CEOs Forum 2026, as it seeks to strengthen female leadership across Africa’s gaming and lotteries industry.
South Africa.- Women in Gaming & Lotteries Africa (WIGLA) has opened speaker and panellist applications for its Women in Power Panel Discussions during the CEOs Forum 2026 – The Black Table, inviting women from across Africa’s gaming and lotteries industry to participate in discussions on leadership, policy and innovation. The event will take place at the Durban International Convention Centre (ICC) in South Africa from September 1 to 4.
The organisation invited women from across the continent to apply as speakers or panellists, while also encouraging nominations for exceptional women leaders. Organised by the African Lotteries and Gaming Association (ALGA), the CEOs Forum 2026 is a pan-African gathering of regulators, operators and industry stakeholders focused on collaboration and the future of the gaming and lotteries sector.
According to WIGLA, the discussions will bring together influential women to share their experiences, insights and vision for the sector. The discussions will focus on leadership, transformation, policy and innovation, while promoting WIGLA’s goal of advancing women “from inclusion to influence” in decision-making roles across the industry.
“WIGLA invites dynamic, influential and inspiring women leaders to take the stage and share their voice, vision and victory,” the organisation said.

Launched by ALGA in April 2026, WIGLA was established to strengthen the presence, influence and leadership of women across Africa’s gaming and lotteries sector. Since its launch, WIGLA has promoted women’s leadership through conference participation and industry initiatives aimed at increasing female representation across Africa’s gaming and lotteries sector.
WIGLA said the discussions at the CEOs Forum are designed to empower the industry through shared insights, inspire the next generation of women leaders, help shape the future of gaming, lotteries and regulation in Africa, and foster connections across the continent.
The organisation is seeking women regulators, policymakers, executives, entrepreneurs, innovators and other change-makers to join the speaker line-up.
The event is expected to attract delegates from more than 23 countries, including representatives from 24 gaming regulators, under the theme “One Purpose.” Women interested in participating as speakers or panellists, or nominating an exceptional woman within their network, have been invited to submit an expression of interest through WIGLA’s online application process.
The Women in Power Panel Discussions form part of the wider CEOs Forum 2026 agenda, which Namibia Lotteries Board CEO John Shimaneni said is designed to unite African regulators and industry leaders, encourage cross-border collaboration and drive the long-term growth of the continent’s gaming and lotteries sector.
