Super Group reports 36% Africa revenue growth in Q2
Overall revenue growth during the quarter was driven by Africa, underlining the continent’s importance to the group’s global operations.
South Africa.- Betway operator Super Group has released its unaudited financial results for the second quarter of 2026, revealing strong growth across its African business.
Revenue from Africa rose 36 per cent year-on-year to US$310m (€268m) during the three months ended June 30, up from US$228m (€197.1m) in the corresponding period of 2025. The region accounted for 46 per cent of the group’s total reportable segment revenue, compared with 40 per cent a year earlier.
The increase was driven by growth across both business segments. African igaming revenue climbed to US$202m (€174.6m) from US$156m (€134.9m) in the second quarter of 2025, while sportsbook revenue increased to US$108m (€93.4m) from US$72m (€62.2m).
For the first six months of 2026, Africa generated revenue of US$577m (€498.8m), compared with US$429m (€370.9m) during the same period last year. Igaming contributed US$391m (€338m), while sportsbook revenue reached US$186m (€160.8m).
The region also recorded stronger profitability, with adjusted EBITDA increasing 48 per cent to US$133m (€115m) in the second quarter from US$90m (€77.8m) a year earlier. For the first half of the year, Africa’s adjusted EBITDA rose to US$231m (€199.7m) from US$171m (€147.8m).
At group level, Super Group reported record revenue of US$684m (€591.3m) for the quarter, an 18 per cent increase from US$579m (€500.6m) in the prior-year period. Profit for the quarter reached US$123m (€106.3m), compared with a loss of US$3m (€2.6m) a year earlier, while adjusted EBITDA rose 30 per cent to US$204m (€176.4m).
Chief executive Neal Menashe said the company achieved record revenue, adjusted EBITDA, deposits and wagering during the quarter, supported by the FIFA World Cup and the group’s diversified business model.
The company also reported a 13 per cent year-on-year increase in monthly active customers to 6.2 million (6.2m) and ended the quarter with cash and cash equivalents of US$548m (€473.8m), up from US$513m (€443.5m) at the end of 2025.
Reflecting the strong performance, Super Group raised its full-year 2026 guidance.
