Sun International appoints Charlene Ludick as General Manager of SA’s Meropa Casino
Veteran gaming and hospitality executive Charlene Ludick brings more than 25 years’ leadership experience to the Limpopo casino.
South Africa.- Sun International has named Charlene Ludick as the new General Manager of Meropa Casino and Entertainment World in Limpopo province, South Africa. Ludick brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across gaming, hospitality, tourism and financial services.
Ludick will lead the casino’s day-to-day operations, focusing on operational excellence, guest experience, employee engagement, governance, regulatory compliance and meaningful stakeholder and community engagement. She has held senior roles overseeing multi‑property portfolios and regional operations.
Ludick will report to Peter Tshidi, Director of Small and Medium Properties at Sun International, and to the Meropa Board. “Charlene is widely respected for her people-centred, values driven leadership approach. We wish her every success as she leads Meropa into its next phase of sustainable growth,” said Tshidi, according to CasinoLife.
Ludick holds an MBA from Henley Business School, a BCom and BCom Honours degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA), has completed the Executive Development Programme at the University of Nevada and earned a Certificate in Business Management from the South African Institute of Management.
Ludick’s appointment coincides with other executive changes at Sun International. In February 2026, Mark Sergeant was appointed Chief Operating Officer: Gaming and Nomzamo Radebe was named Chief Operating Officer: Hospitality & Sales, both bringing extensive executive experience to their respective roles.
