SportPesa becomes title sponsor of 2025 National Sevens Circuit
The sponsorship underscores the company’s dedication to supporting Kenya’s sports industry and developing local talent.
Kenya.- SportPesa has committed Ksh 15 million (€101,736) to the 2025 National Sevens Circuit, reaffirming its role as title sponsor for the third consecutive year. The tournament, now officially called the SportPesa National Sevens Circuit, will run from July to September 2025 across six competitive legs nationwide.
The deal extension was officially unveiled at a launch event that was attended by rugby stakeholders and sports partners. Harriet Okatch, Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) Chairperson, hailed the support, calling it timely. She said: “This circuit marks the beginning of our journey to qualify both our men and women teams for HSBC Tier 1 status next year. We are more confident than ever that Kenya will rise again on the global stage.”
From SportPesa’s financial package, Ksh 3 million (€20,400) will go to host clubs, Ksh 6 million (€40,800) for live streaming, Ksh 2.3 million (€15,640) will be allocated for prize money, Ksh 3 million (€20,400) will cover administration costs and Ksh 700,000 (€4,760) will be used for official merchandise.

He said: “Our commitment to the growth of local sports is unwavering. The National Sevens Circuit has helped identify new talent for three consecutive years, contributing to Kenya’s recent successes, including winning the Africa 7s Championship and qualifying for the Olympics.”
SportPesa’s local sports sponsorship cuts across its different operating countries in Africa. This deal comes a month after the betting operator secured a multi-year agreement with Varsity Football to become the official online betting partner of the South African premier university sports league.
