Premier Bet Malawi donates US$4.6k to 2026 Martse Memorial Show
The sponsorship will help fund desks for selected schools through proceeds from the 2026 Martse Memorial Show in Mzuzu.
Malawi.- Gambling and sports betting operator Premier Bet Malawi has contributed K8m (US$4.6k) towards the 2026 Martse Memorial Show. Scheduled for May 23 at Springs Park in Mzuzu City, the event marks the fourth edition of the annual memorial show held in honour of late musician Martin “Martse” Nkhata.
According to local reporting and organiser updates, the money raised from ticket sales and sponsorships will be used to buy desks for selected schools. Martse Foundation board member Noreen Chimaliro said preparations for the show were complete and confirmed a line-up that includes Malinga Mafia, Fredokiss and Lulu.
The concert forms part of ongoing remembrance activities linked to the late artist, who died in 2022. Martse became known in Malawi’s urban music scene through songs such as “Mwano,” “Go Deeper” and “Mkatimo,” as well as his “Too Ghetto Too Gutter” slogan.
The sponsorship adds to a growing list of entertainment and community projects supported by betting operators in Malawi, as companies in the sector continue expanding brand visibility beyond sports betting activities. In recent months, Premier Bet Malawi has also partnered with community awareness campaigns and local entertainment events in the country.
