North Africa gears up for the 2025 Arabic Games Conference
The free and fully online event offers mentorship and career guidance for aspiring developers across MENA.
Egypt.- The Arabic Games Conference (AGC), the region’s leading event for game developers, is returning this year on November 29 with a free, fully online edition.
Creators, students and gaming professionals from across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), including Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco, are invited to connect, learn and showcase their talent.
AGC organisers said: We ensured that every talk and every activity serves a clear goal this year: to inspire new developers to make games, encourage existing ones to keep working on their projects and give them a boost.”
The 2025 edition promises more panels, discussions and opportunities for professional growth than ever before. Attendees will have access to sessions with world-class speakers, including Leyla Johnson, CEO and Creative Director at Mohawk Games, Joseph Azzam, Senior Technical Artist at Romero Games, and Yasmin Halwani, Data Engineer at Epic Games.

Johnson said: “Arabic Games is an essential event for developers in the region as there aren’t many that cater to Arab communities. It is a very organised event made with love and transmits all the positivity and creativity a developer needs to grow and network.”
The conference is also expected to introduce a Game Awards initiative to celebrate the creativity and innovation of developers in the region, with details on the award categories and jury panel to be announced soon.
Mentorship and career boosts
In addition to expert talks, the conference will offer a range of career-focused activities. Participants can attend CV and portfolio review sessions, take part in “Chat with a Pro” one-on-one mentorship sessions and join publisher feedback meetings, where studios can pitch their games and receive guidance on funding and releases.
AGC organisers added: “Our mission is to help the game development scene in the region grow by facilitating access to free education and support. The Arabic Games Conference is organised by developers and community leaders from the region – by the community, for the community.”
Since its debut in 2020, AGC has become a key platform for game developers. The conference features talks in Arabic, mentorship opportunities and support for thousands of students, aspiring developers and professionals across the region.
Arabic Games Conference 2025 will take place online. Registration is free and open to all students, professionals and gamers across the MENA region.
