Officials shared information on how to differentiate licensed gaming operators from unlicensed ones.

Uganda.- The National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (NLGRB) has raised awareness about responsible gambling and the dangers of problem gambling at the 9th edition of the Corporate Games League Uganda Women’s Edition, held on Monday, March 16, at Jeph International University.

The multi-sport event, held as part of the 2026 Corporate Games season, brought together teams from more than 30 organisations across the corporate sector. Participants competed in football, woodball, volleyball and other disciplines during the one-day outing designed to promote fitness, teamwork and corporate engagement.

NLGRB officials engaged directly with participants and spectators, sharing information on how to differentiate licensed gaming operators from unlicensed ones, as well as the availability of tools and support for people facing gambling-related issues. The Board also reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing industry compliance and protecting consumers as online betting expands within its jurisdiction.

The Corporate Games League Uganda began as an annual corporate sports initiative and has since grown to include monthly competitive events across Kampala and nearby districts. According to organisers, the 2026 season will introduce more sports and themed events designed to integrate wellness with corporate social responsibility activities.
