Nigeria spotlights government leadership in gaming innovation at EGC2026

Nigeria.- Government leadership will be in the spotlight at the Enugu Gaming Conference 2026 (EGC2026) as Nigeria’s Innovation Minister Dr Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh delivers a keynote address. His participation comes as rapid technological change makes closer collaboration between government, regulators, innovators and gaming industry leaders increasingly important.
The conference will take place on July 29-30 at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Enugu, bringing together key stakeholders to explore investment, regulation and technology opportunities shaping the growth of Nigeria’s igaming sector. The Commission has framed Dr Udeh’s participation around the role of government leadership in driving responsible digital innovation.
The Enugu State Gaming Commission said: “As technology rapidly transforms the gaming landscape, collaboration between government, innovators, regulators, and industry leaders has never been more important.”

The Commission added that Dr Udeh’s participation underscores the importance of aligning innovation with sound public policy, scientific advancement and responsible technology development as Nigeria seeks to position itself as a leading digital economy.
