Namibia Lottery Board permits One Economy Foundation raffle
The One Impact Raffle will raise funds for the One Economy Foundation’s work across Namibia, with the draw set for October 1 in Windhoek.
Namibia.- The One Economy Foundation is conducting its One Impact Raffle under a Benevolent Society permit issued by Namibia’s Lotteries Board, with the draw scheduled for October 1 and net proceeds earmarked for the organisation’s charitable and public-benefit objectives.
According to the Foundation’s official raffle terms, the permit was issued under Namibia’s Lotteries Act, 2017, and is identified as BSC001/06/2026. Tickets cost N$300 (US$16.3), with up to 1,000 tickets available. Sales close on October 1 or when all tickets have been sold, whichever comes first.
Namibia’s Lotteries Board regulates public, private, benevolent and promotional lotteries under the Lotteries Act, 2017. The One Impact Raffle is a benevolent lottery operating under this framework and is separate from the country’s planned State Lottery.
The raffle draw will take place at the Mercure Hotel in Windhoek, with winners selected at random in the presence of an independent witness or audience member. Results will be announced at the Foundation’s gala dinner.
The One Impact Raffle forms part of the Foundation’s 11th Annual Fundraising Soirée, held under the theme “Rooted in Purpose” and will take place in Windhoek. Funds raised during the soirée will go towards maintaining and expanding the Foundation’s operations in health service delivery, education and economic skills building across Namibia, according to the Namibian.
