Mybet highlights Formula 1 as sportsbooks expand motorsport betting markets
Operator references the 2026 F1 season as betting interest around the global racing series grows.
Ghana.- Mybet has spotlighted the start of the 2026 Formula 1 season across its digital channels, underscoring the rising profile of motorsport betting markets among sportsbooks. Operated by KMK Entertainment Ltd, the Ghana-based brand offers betting across multiple sports through both online platforms and retail outlets serving customers across parts of Africa.
The Africa-focused betting brand highlighted the start of the championship in social media posts, telling followers: “The wait is over. F1 2026 is here and the 7x World Champion is already sending a message to the grid! Who’s ready for an insane season?” The 2026 Formula One season began with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne from March 6-8 and is scheduled to conclude with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on December 6.
The development comes as Formula One strengthens its ties with the global betting sector. In March, the sport announced a multi-year partnership with sportsbook brand Betway, naming it the championship’s first official betting operator across several international markets including Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Under this partnership, Formula One will allow licensed betting operators to integrate official race data into their platforms and offer expanded in-play betting options around key race moments such as pit stops, safety car periods and driver performance. Sportsbooks have increasingly been promoting motorsport betting markets as they look to engage fans during major racing events throughout the Formula One season.
Mybet has also experimented with alternative betting markets beyond sport, including promotions linked to the Telecel Ghana Music Awards, highlighting efforts to broaden customer engagement through entertainment and other events.
As competition intensifies in Africa’s online betting market, operators such as Mybet are highlighting global sporting events like Formula One to reach new demographics of sports fans.
