MultiChoice names betPawa headline sponsor for Nigeria’s Big Brother Naija Season 11
Betting operator joins Africa’s biggest reality TV show as Season 11 launches with a record ₦160m grand prize.
Nigeria.- MultiChoice has named betPawa as the headline sponsor of Nigeria’s Big Brother Naija Season 11, giving the African betting operator one of its highest-profile mainstream entertainment partnerships to date.
The announcement was made through an official MultiChoice/Africa Magic news release published on July 16 ahead of the show’s 26 July premiere. Under the partnership, betPawa will serve as Headline Sponsor of Africa’s biggest reality television show, which will offer a record ₦160m (US$104,000) grand prize. The prize package includes ₦100m in cash and a brand-new SUV, making it the largest in the show’s history.
The sponsorship further expands betPawa’s presence in mainstream African entertainment through one of the continent’s most influential television franchises.

Ndanyungu said betPawa aimed to reward fans, deepen engagement throughout the season and deliver experiences that complement the energy and excitement of the show.
The new season also features an expanded line-up of brand partners, with Guinness returning as Gold Sponsor and Minimie joining as Associate Sponsor.

Countdown to Season 11
With just over a week to go until the July 26 premiere, the launch show will air from 7pm on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family, while the 24-hour live broadcast will be available on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 49. Viewers will also be able to watch via DStv Stream and GOtv Stream.
Speaking on the new season, Babatunde said Big Brother Naija had consistently redefined entertainment in Africa through authentic storytelling and compelling personalities, adding that Season 11 would build on that legacy with bigger stakes, fresh twists and a new mix of housemates.
Since its return in 2017, Big Brother Naija has grown into one of Africa’s most influential reality television shows and a cultural phenomenon. Hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Season 11 will also allow eligible DStv and GOtv subscribers to vote through the MyDStv and MyGOtv self-service apps.
