Moroccan student game creators showcase their achievements
Young talent showcases fresh creativity and innovation in Morocco’s growing gaming scene.
Morocco.- Morocco’s video game scene is growing fast, with young developers stepping into the spotlight through the Video Game Creator program. Recent showcases have put the country’s gaming talents on full display.
At the Morocco Gaming Expo, students from the program, which began earlier this year, presented the games they created. Their work was shown at the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication’s pavilion, specifically in the Incubator Zone.
This space is meant for up-and-coming developers to share their projects, get feedback and connect with industry figures and gamers. It’s a place that encourages new ideas and supports Morocco’s gaming community.
Several students are benefitting from the Video Game Creator program, according to the Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication.
“This event showcased the projects they developed during their training. Visitors interacted with these creations that were displayed, and it was a great opportunity to discover innovative ideas reflecting the passion and talent of a new generation of video game developers in Morocco,” said the Ministry, in a press release.

All these games developed by students were tested and played by the visitors, who were exposed to different genres and storylines. There were also esports tournaments, masterclasses and panels focused on creating interaction and sharing of information among experts.
Morocco aims to be a significant player in the world of gaming for Africa, and the expo illustrated how dedicated Morocco is to supporting talent and innovation at home. With this training and these events, Morocco is developing a robust and sustainable gaming industry fuelled by young developers.
With the training still ongoing and projects growing, Morocco’s upcoming game developers are ready to make an impact beyond their borders.
