Mauritian lottery operator backs club at Zone 7 Championship, signalling regional growth through sport.
Mauritius.- Mauritius lottery operator Lottotech extended its presence through sport, backing a Mauritian club competing in the 2026 Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) Zone 7 Championship in Seychelles.
The company has provided financial support tied to the tournament by sponsoring Port-Louis Fire Star Volleyball Club, positioning the move as part of its broader commitment to sporting development.
Lottotech said: “We are proud to support regional sporting excellence through our financial contribution to CAVB Zone 7 Championship in Seychelles. By backing Port-Louis Fire Star Volleyball Club, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering athletes, fostering teamwork and promoting the development of volleyball across the region.”
The tournament, organised under the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB), brings together clubs from across Mauritius, Seychelles, Madagascar and Comoros, underlining its role as a key platform for cross-border competition.
This year’s edition featured around 25 teams and approximately 500 athletes and officials, further reinforcing its status as one of the region’s leading volleyball events.
While primary sponsorship has been led by local partners, Lottotech has adopted a targeted, club-level strategy, backing a Mauritian team to extend its reach beyond its home market.
