Lottery leaders from Africa and Europe set for EL Industry Days 2026 with key issues on the agenda
Responsible gaming, retail digitalisation and illegal gambling will be among the key topics discussed when lottery leaders from Africa and Europe meet in Morocco for the EL Industry Days 2026.
Morocco.- Lottery leaders from Africa and Europe are set to gather for the European Lotteries (EL) Industry Days 2026 from June 7-10, with responsible gaming, retail digitalisation and illegal gambling among the key topics on the agenda as the countdown to the event continues.
The event will be held in Marrakech, Morocco, under the theme “Lotteries Bridging Continents” and is organised by The European Lotteries. It will bring together lottery executives, technology providers and industry stakeholders to examine emerging trends in lottery operations and discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of the sector as digital transformation accelerates across regulated markets.
According to the event programme, delegates will explore the modernisation of retail channels, innovation best practices, the evolution of the European Lotteries Responsible Gaming Standards and future opportunities for lottery operators.
Among the confirmed keynote speakers is White Bullet Solutions (a digital risk and intelligence company) founder and CEO Peter Szyszko, who will share insights on protecting the lottery ecosystem from illegal gambling and digital threats, according to the event’s speaker announcement.
The programme will also feature keynote addresses from Jim Steele, founder of The Holistic Performance Lab and author of Unashamedly Superhuman, and Sir Geoff Mulgan CBE, professor of Collective Intelligence, Public Policy and Social Innovation at University College London. The event will be moderated by multilingual journalist, entrepreneur and media producer Asha Sumputh.
The discussions are expected to resonate with stakeholders across Africa, where regulators and operators continue to strengthen oversight of digital gambling channels and reinforce consumer protection measures in an increasingly digital market.
