Côte d’Ivoire.- Côte d’Ivoire’s National Lottery operator (LONACI) held a training and consultation meeting in Yamoussoukro on October 24 to strengthen its commercial distribution network and boost sales. The initiative brings the operator closer to concessionaires and activity coordinators, focusing on field-level challenges, partner capabilities and better coordination across its network.
Organised by LONACI’s Directorate of Sales and Network Management (DVGR), the meeting forms part of a programme of consultations across 15 zones in the country’s interior and Abidjan. The programme aims to address local needs and mobilise commercial partners around LONACI’s sales objectives. “Commercial performance is built on the ground, close to the people who make up the network,” LONACI said in a statement. The programme began in Aboisso on October 20, with an earlier meeting focused on strengthening the operator’s commercial network.
The latest Yamoussoukro meeting was attended by Khalil Coulibaly, interior supervisor; Ganda Djatou, zone supervisor support officer; Sanogo Lassina, head of gaming halls in the interior regions; and the head of the Yamoussoukro zone and his deputy.
The first session focused on capacity-building for concessionaires from Yamoussoukro, Toumodi, Didiévi, Tiébissou and Djékanou. These commercial partners help sell and distribute LONACI’s lottery products to customers, making them an important part of its distribution network.

Discussions covered their day-to-day activities, challenges encountered in the field and possible solutions to improve their performance. LONACI emphasised the importance of meeting customer expectations, ensuring better product availability and identifying local growth opportunities. The aim is to enable concessionaires to strengthen their contribution to the operator’s sales targets.
The second session brought together activity coordinators for capacity-building focused on monitoring commercial activities, supporting network participants and working towards established objectives. Discussions also addressed ways to improve coordination of field operations and cooperation among stakeholders.
The meeting also gave commercial partners an opportunity to exchange experiences, raise concerns about their work on the ground and discuss LONACI’s commercial priorities.
