LONACI Foundation mobilises US$912,000 for Côte d’Ivoire social infrastructure
The Foundation says its 2026 social caravan delivered health, education, water and digital infrastructure across four regions.
Côte d’Ivoire.- Côte d’Ivoire’s LONACI Foundation has announced that it mobilised FCFA 512.7m (US$912,000) for social infrastructure projects across several regions through its 2026 social caravan initiative.
Held from August 9 to 23, the social caravan travelled through several regions of Côte d’Ivoire, with the Foundation inaugurating and handing over essential infrastructure to communities in Hambol, Haut-Sassandra, Gbêkê and Béré. The LONACI Foundation said in a statement: “Solidarity takes on its full meaning when it translates into concrete actions.”
The investment covered equipped health centres with accommodation for healthcare workers, classrooms, improved village water pumps and a multimedia room. The Foundation said the projects are intended to improve access to healthcare, education, drinking water and digital resources.
The caravan was led by Guédé Marc Sakoa, executive director of the LONACI Foundation, representing Dramane Coulibaly, chairman of the foundation’s board and director general of LONACI.
The ceremonies were attended by administrative authorities, prefectural officials, elected representatives, traditional leaders and representatives of the relevant ministries.
