LONACI announces first Mon Auto car prize winner
LONACI introduced Mon Auto on June 27, 2025, alongside another scratch game named Villa Dorée.
Côte d’Ivoire.- The national lottery operator of Côte d’Ivoire, LONACI, has recorded the first car prize winner of its Mon Auto scratch ticket game.
In a handover ceremony organised at the operator’s office in Marcory, Abidjan on October 10 2025, the lucky player, Ky Ousmane, a surface technician living in Koumassi, Abidjan, was given the vehicle, a brand-new Suzuki Fronx valued at 13 million FCFA (€19,850).
Ousmane purchased the winning tickets, each priced at 300 FCFA (€0.46), from a nearby sales outlet, buying up the entire remaining stock after his daughter picked up several that had fallen to the ground. The game rules require players to scratch off sections and match three identical car symbols to win the top prize.
The ceremony included attendees such as Pierre Alain Kouassi, Director of Sales and Network Management; Awa Diomandé, the Mon Auto Product Manager; the President of the LONACI dealer mutual; business partners; journalists; and Ousmane’s relatives and friends.
Cheick Oumar Diarra, LONACI’s Director of Marketing and Customer Experience, presented the keys on behalf of Director General Dramane Coulibaly. He stressed the importance of reliability for the company, saying: “We are particularly happy to celebrate this first winner, just two months after the product launch.” He noted that the occasion reaffirmed LONACI’s commitment to honouring every obligation tied to its products.
Ousmane expressed his gratitude, noting that the win would have an impact on his life. He said: “Many didn’t believe it. Today, thanks to my daughter, I am happy. This win gives me hope again.” For an everyday worker in the city, the car provides a practical advantage and a brighter outlook on life.
LONACI introduced Mon Auto on June 27, 2025, alongside another scratch game named Villa Dorée. The company views these lottery titles as a direct means to reward players while also contributing to local economic growth.
Ousmane’s win will undoubtedly boost sales of Mon Auto tickets as people aim to replicate his luck and drive off into the sunset in their own new car.
