GRAF 2026 gains early momentum with speaker submissions from four African markets
The Gaming Regulators Africa Forum says speaker submissions have already been received from Kenya, South Africa, Botswana and Nigeria ahead of the May 31 deadline.
Kenya.- The Gaming Regulators Africa Forum (GRAF) has reported strong early engagement for its GRAF 2026 Call for Speakers campaign, with speaker submissions already received from Kenya, South Africa, Botswana and Nigeria.
GRAF said “the response to our Call for Speakers has been encouraging”, adding that the submissions reflect “the voices shaping regulatory conversations across the continent”. The organisation also encouraged additional stakeholders to participate, stating: “There’s still time to contribute your perspective” ahead of the May 31 deadline for speaker submissions.
GRAF 2026 is scheduled to take place in Mozambique from September 14-17 2026 under the theme “Where Africa Connects”. GRAF recently announced that the 2026 forum will focus on issues including stronger regulation, player protection, responsible gambling, compliance and cross-border cooperation across Africa’s gaming sector.
The event is set to bring together gaming regulators, policymakers and industry stakeholders from across the continent as African jurisdictions continue adapting to the rapid growth of online betting and gaming markets. Discussions are also expected to cover technological innovation and cooperation among African gaming authorities.
The campaign poster highlighted the four countries already participating in the speaker process and urged additional stakeholders to “be part of the conversation” before submissions close later this month.
GRAF has emerged as one of several regional initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation between African gaming regulators as betting markets continue to expand across the continent.
