GinjaBet appoints Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez as first brand ambassador
Rapper and football enthusiast Blaqbonez joins GinjaBet, promising a fusion of sports, music and betting excitement.
Nigeria.- GinjaBet has unveiled its first-ever brand ambassador, popular Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, better known as Blaqbonez, who is set to bring his energy, style and love for football to the platform.
The announcement was made on August 16 at the ‘GinjaBet major launch and Blaqbonez Brand Ambassador Unveiling’ event held in Lagos, which celebrated football, music and betting excitement.
GinjaBet was launched in Nigeria in May 2025 and is licensed by the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority, bringing fast, seamless betting and a “lifestyle-first” experience that blends football, entertainment and culture.
Known for his top hits like ‘Emeka Must Shine’ and ‘Ohema’, Blaqbonez is set to bridge sports, entertainment and community in Nigeria. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he brings the same energy to football as he does to his music, making the game a central part of his public persona.

The rapper, who is also an active bettor, plans to promote GinjaBet through his football involvement and social media platforms.
“As the GinjaBet ambassador, I have plans to leverage my influence on social media and my grassroots football involvement to connect with fans. I already have this football tournament I play, and I will be bringing more people on board. I see myself as a pundit, so I will be giving people betting tips and advice,” he said according to Complete Esports.
Elevating Nigeria’s betting scene
Blaqbonez’s prior experience with high-profile campaigns, including the Oraimo AirPods launch, positions him to elevate GinjaBet’s profile.
“I have done a lot of brand campaigns in the past. I was part of the Oraimo AirPods launch. But I am very intentional; I don’t just align with any brand. It has to feel right. I feel like GinjaBet is already aligned with most of what I represent,” he said.
GinjaBet offers rich odds, exclusive Ginja Games and quick wallet transactions for Nigerian players seeking control and excitement.
CEO of GinjaBet, Joe Richa, said the platform is designed to deliver more than financial investment. “Nigeria is the biggest market on the continent, so we were excited to come and invest here, not just financially, but in the people as well.”
Richa added: “This isn’t just a launch; it is the start of a new betting lifestyle for Nigerians. GinjaBet is built for Nigeria and powered by world-class tech. We are not just here to compete, we are here to lead and to connect. Blaqbonez embodies the energy, boldness and authenticity we stand for.”
