Ghana’s Lottery Authority strengthens global ties with Jamaica’s leading gaming firm

NLA delegation explores collaboration, market growth and digital innovation in international lottery operations.

Ghana.- The National Lottery Authority (NLA) of Ghana is expanding its global reach with a working visit to Jamaica’s leading gaming firm, aiming to enhance collaboration, share expertise and explore opportunities for market growth.

The Ghanaian delegation, led by Board Chairman and Technical Advisor to the Minister of Finance, Frederick Amissah, included Director-General Mohammed Abdul‑Salam and Board Member Nana Amponsem. During the visit, officials discussed potential cooperation, strategies for market expansion and ways to share expertise in lottery operations.

The delegation met with Delano Seiveright, Jamaica’s Minister of State in the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce, alongside senior leadership from the gaming firm.

Seiveright said: “It was an absolute honour to meet the Ghana National Lottery Authority officials, where we had detailed discussions about why they are here in Jamaica. We are very keen on continuing to build the Jamaica-Ghana connection, and I commend the firm for its active participation in Ghana’s lottery industry. We want to see more of that as we continue to grow.”

NLA expands international collaboration

Speaking on behalf of the Ghana delegation, Amissah added: “We are hoping to take the Ghana – Jamaica relationship a step further and also establish historical links and business‑to‑business relationships so that we can move both nations forward.”

Beyond discussions, the partnership has practical impact. The gaming firm serves as the technical service provider for Game Park Limited in Ghana, supporting online games such as Pick 1 and Pick 4 through certified technology platforms. This collaboration strengthens operational capacity while fostering knowledge sharing across borders.

As the NLA continues to engage with international partners, these collaborations are expected to enhance Ghana’s lottery sector, ensure greater transparency and provide expanded opportunities for players and investors alike.
