NLA staff across various departments are taking part in online responsible gaming and CSR training, with the programme linked to WLA Level 2 certification.

Ghana.- Ghana’s National Lottery Authority (NLA) is using the World Lottery Association’s (WLA) online learning platform to train staff in responsible gaming and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

The programme is being coordinated by the NLA’s Corporate Affairs Department following a directive from its Human Resource Department to equip staff across various departments with knowledge of responsible gaming and CSR.

The training features interactive video modules and reading materials designed to enhance participants’ understanding of responsible gaming practices and CSR. Participants who successfully complete the course are awarded certificates of completion.

The training is linked to the Authority’s Level 2 Certification from the WLA. The NLA said: “The successful completion of this training is a key requirement in securing the Authority’s Level 2 Certification from the World Lottery Association.”

The NLA said the training underscores the importance of promoting international best practices and responsible operations.

The initiative comes as the NLA pursues wider measures to strengthen Ghana’s lottery sector. The Authority has proposed a performance-linked support and reward scheme for Lotto Marketing Companies (LMCs), with the firms to be categorised according to sales performance.
