Gaming Tech Summit Africa 2026 set for June in Nairobi

Scheduled sessions at the summit will allow established operators and emerging innovators to showcase solutions, build partnerships and explore investment opportunities in African markets.

Kenya.- The third edition of the Gaming Tech Summit Africa (GTSA) will be held from June 2 to 4, 2026, at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya, under the theme “Building Africa’s Sustainable & Scalable Gaming Tech Industry”.

The event will feature policy dialogues, roundtables and working sessions on licensing variations, tax differences, compliance challenges and regulatory gaps affecting operations.

According to organisers, GTSA provides a neutral environment for stakeholders to move beyond broad discussions towards concrete solutions. David Moshi, a Member of the Organising Committee, said the summit aims to give industry leaders a platform to promote responsible and sustainable growth through regulatory coherence, stronger oversight and cross-border collaboration.

Scheduled sessions at the summit will allow established operators and emerging innovators to showcase solutions, build partnerships and explore investment opportunities in African markets.

Previous editions have built a strong track record, beginning with the inaugural event in June 2024 at Nairobi’s Safari Park Hotel, which brought together stakeholders from more than 15 countries to discuss AI integration, blockchain, fraud prevention and regulatory alignment.

The 2025 edition, held June 2–6, drew more than 600 attendees, featured 50+ speakers and included more than 25 African regulators, with discussions on responsible gaming, payment innovation, customer protection and policy coordination.

The summit comes as Africa’s gaming sector continues to expand rapidly. Recent data show the market reached more than $1.8bn in 2024, up 12.4 per cent year-on-year, six times the global average, driven largely by mobile access. Forecasts for 2026 range from $2.29bn to $2.65bn, with smartphones expected to remain the primary platform.
