Eswatini Lottery expands into South Africa, Namibia and Lesotho
CEO Sandlane Zwane has positioned the company’s regional expansion as a means to drive revenue growth back home.
Eswatini.- The Eswatini Lottery has launched its services in South Africa, Namibia and Lesotho, providing the residents of these countries with access to its range of lottery products. In a recent press statement, Sandlane Zwane, Eswatini Lottery’s CEO, said the development marks a key step in the company’s goal of making lottery games more accessible across the Southern African region.
Zwane emphasised the move’s potential to promote regional integration and create economic opportunities, noting that the expansion will drive growth through strategic partnerships that will benefit the Kingdom of Eswatini and its neighbours.
He said: “Through partnerships with neighbouring nations, the Eswatini Lottery aims to create a collaborative framework that not only serves its players but also uplifts the communities involved.”
Players in the four countries can register through the app or website and pay using various banking options, including credit or debit cards and mobile money services such as eMali and Instacash. According to Zwane, the Eswatini Lottery’s instant payment system is a game-changer as it provides winners with immediate access to their prizes.
Speaking on the South African entry, Zwane pointed out that the country’s R1.1trn (€55.0bn) betting market, with 82 per cent weekly participation, presents a lucrative opportunity for the Eswatini Lottery. The company aims to capture 48 per cent of the market share within the next 12 months.
The CEO also positioned Eswatini Lottery’s regional expansion as a means to drive revenue growth back home. He projected that it will create jobs, support local charities and community initiatives and generally promote sustainable socioeconomic development throughout the kingdom.
He said: “This expansion is expected to bring an influx of resources back into Eswatini, which will be reinvested into local initiatives such as charities, community projects, educational and health programmes, creating a positive ripple effect on the nation’s socio-economic landscape.”
