Elephant Bet joins Angola flood recovery efforts as CSR gains importance in gaming
The operator delivered support to families affected by flooding in Benguela during mid-April 2026, highlighting the growing role of corporate responsibility across Angola’s regulated gaming sector.
Angola.- Following the recent flooding in Benguela, Angola, Elephant Bet provided assistance to affected families as reconstruction efforts began across the province. Through its parent group, Kilamba Group, Elephant Bet distributed more than 90 sacks of rice, alongside additional food supplies and essential goods in mid-April 2026, to help families facing hardship after the floods.
The operator used its latest corporate social responsibility update to confirm that “support was already under way”, positioning its involvement as part of a longer-term recovery process rather than a once-off emergency response.
The company framed the initiative around resilience and collective responsibility, stressing that rebuilding requires sustained action and a continued presence on the ground. In a statement, Elephant Bet said: “What happened in Benguela left deep scars, but it also revealed something essential: the capacity for unity and resilience of a people who do not turn their backs on their own.”
The operator added: “Reconstruction is done consistently through concrete actions, presence on the ground and genuine support. This process has already begun.” It further described Benguela as “a collective responsibility of each Angolan”, underlining its intention to remain involved as recovery efforts continue.
In Angola, projects linked to disaster relief, education and healthcare are increasingly becoming part of how operators build long-term visibility and public trust.
For Elephant Bet, support for Benguela represents more than emergency assistance, it signals a stronger commitment to local communities at a time when corporate responsibility is becoming an increasingly visible part of industry strategy.
