East Africa’s gambling industry to gather at annual SBEA+ summit
Industry leaders will share insights and identify new regional gambling business prospects.
Tanzania.- Tanzania is set to host the 10th annual edition of the Sports Betting East Africa+ Summit (SBEA+) on May 20 and 21, 2025, at the Dar es Salaam Serena Hotel.
The event will bring together operators, regulators and other stakeholders from the East African gaming industry and other international markets to discuss the latest trends and opportunities in the region’s gaming sector.
At the summit, industry leaders will share insights, identify new business prospects and analyse the impact of technological advancements on the jurisdiction’s land-based and online gaming industry.
This year’s event will feature presentations from 22 industry luminaries, including Arnold Karanja, Managing Partner at Mwenje & Karanja Co as well as advocates such as Clive Muchoki, CEO of ProSport Africa, and Daniel Grabher, Founder & CEO of ComplyGuard.
The summit will run for two days, with different panels and exhibitions scheduled for each day.
On day one, May 20, attendees will engage in three key discussions covering topics like East Africa’s gaming regulatory evolution, player protection and women’s advancement in the region’s gaming industry. An award ceremony will also take place on this day to recognise companies that have done exceptionally well in different areas of the gaming industry.
The agenda for day two, May 21, features key panels and discussions that delve into topics like the role of blockchain in iGaming, innovative payment solutions for East Africa and practical strategies for enhancing player engagement and customer loyalty.
